McKenzie, Lawrence of Skenesborough, Tryon Co., mason.
Memorial sworn New Carlisle, Bay of Chaleur, 13 March 1786. He joined the Army as a volunteer in July 1777 and served in Maj. James Roger's Rangers. Claim for 110 acres on lease forever; a house, etc. Evidences: Deposition 14 March 1786 New Carlisle by Andrew Coulter that he has heard that the claimant before the war erected buildings for Maj. Skeene but he never saw him until after the war had started; last summer he read in an American newspaper that the claimant's property was being sold, and he knew of none other of that name in Skenesborough.
