McArthur, John of Rupert, Charlotte Co. He joined Burgoyne's Army in 1777. In 1778 he fell sick while on duty and thereafter was incapable of service.
Claims sworn Quebec, 1784; New Carlisle, Bay of Chaleur, 1786, for a house and 77 acres. Certificate 1787 that he has rheumatism and is lame in his right thigh. American Migrations, Vermont, page 159 |
