Memorial now of New Carlisle , Bay of Chaleur, 1786. Driven from his property, he joined Burgoyne's Army at Fort Miller in August 1777 and entered Maj. McAlpin's Co. remaining with him until his death. He then joined Lieut. Col. Peter's Co. until the end of the war. Claim for 100 acres; cattle, etc. Evidences: Deposition 11 Mar 1786 Gaspe District by Michael Connor of New Carlisle that he lived at Balls Town and knew the claimant to own property there.
