Memorial, undated, now of New Carlisle, Bay of Chaleur. He was driven from his property because of loyalty and joined the Army at Saratoga in August 1777. He was appointed to Capt. Allen's Independent Co. and retired to Canada, remaining with his Co. until September 1780. Then he was drafted into a Corps of Loyal Rangers as a Pvt. until the end of the war.

Claim for 90 acres of leased land and a house.

Evidences: Deposition 16 March 1786 by Thomas Man, late Ens. in the King's Royal Regt., now settled at New Carlisle, Bay of Chaleur, that he knew the claimant was resident on his farm before the war. Deposition by Isaac Montross, settler at New Carlisle Bay, that the claimant is his brother-in-law, and was his neighbour in Saratoga for seven years before the war.
